Terms of Use
These Terms govern your use of the SuryoyoLearn mobile application. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. Provider and service
The provider is Christ Jalabi, Sweden. Contact: gh0stking1@proton.me.
SuryoyoLearn teaches Surayt (Turoyo), a Syriac-Aramaic language, through lessons, stories, exercises, an optional AI tutor, social and classroom features, and an optional paid Super subscription. We aim to keep the service available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation.
2. Accounts
- Provide accurate information and keep account credentials secure.
- If you are below the age at which you can legally consent to an online service in your country, a parent or legal guardian must give permission for account creation and use.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or threaten the safety or operation of the service.
3. Acceptable use
Do not use the app unlawfully; attempt unauthorized access; manipulate game mechanics or rate limits; harass another person; post offensive, misleading, or infringing content; automate requests; scrape or bulk-download content; or commercially redistribute app content without permission.
4. Virtual items
Gems, hearts, streak freezes, XP, and similar items have no cash value, cannot be transferred or cashed out, and are lost when the account is deleted. We may adjust how these virtual items are earned, spent, or balanced.
5. Super subscriptions
- Super is an optional auto-renewing monthly, annual, or family subscription where offered. It is purchased only through Apple's App Store or Google Play.
- The store shows the current localized price and bills the full amount for the selected period. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Manage or cancel an iOS subscription in Apple ID → Subscriptions, or an Android subscription in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions. Deleting the app or account does not cancel a subscription.
- Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. Use Restore purchase in the app to restore an eligible existing subscription.
- Super currently includes unlimited hearts, expanded AI-tutor access subject to a fair-use ceiling, and bonus perks. Included features may evolve.
6. AI tutor
The tutor uses Google Gemini and can produce inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate output despite safeguards. It is a practice tool, not professional educational, medical, legal, or financial advice. Do not use it for unlawful or harmful content or to extract the underlying system.
7. Social features and classrooms
Teachers may see the stated learning progress of users who join their class. Teachers are responsible for using that data only for legitimate educational purposes and obtaining any consent required for learners. User content—including display names, direct messages, class names, and assignment notes—must follow these Terms. You retain rights in your text and give us the limited permission needed to store and display it to operate the chosen feature.
8. Intellectual property
The app's design, code, mascots, exercises, stories, audio, and presentation belong to us or our licensors and are protected by law. We grant a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license for personal, non-commercial learning. The Surayt language itself is the living heritage of the Syriac-Aramaic community; no one owns a language.
9. Third-party services
The app relies on Apple, Google (including Gemini), Supabase, and RevenueCat. Their availability is outside our control, and their own terms apply where relevant, including to store purchases.
10. Termination, disclaimers, and liability
You can stop using the app and delete the account at any time. We may suspend an account for violations, abuse, or legal requirements. The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by law, learning outcomes and uninterrupted or error-free availability are not guaranteed. Nothing in these Terms limits liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be limited.
11. Changes and governing law
We may update these Terms and will provide notice of material changes in the app. Swedish law applies without reducing mandatory consumer protections in your country. Disputes may be brought in Sweden or in the courts of your residence where consumer law requires.
